A celebration of Brazilian music in Bucharest, led by Mădălina Ioana Petre, singer, guitarist, and Doctor of Music at the National University of Music Bucharest. Her academic journey took her to Portugal, where she immersed herself in the world of Brazilian musicians and discovered the richness of Música Popular Brasileira (MPB).
She will be joined by Silvia Mello, an award-winning singer, composer, and cultural ambassador from Bahia, Brazil. Named Best Singer of the Year 2019 by the International Association of Writers and Artists, Silvia has received multiple prizes for her voice and lyrics at prestigious Latin American festivals and has performed widely across Brazil and Europe.
The ensemble also features Văzduh, a Romanian percussionist passionate about Brazilian rhythms, with special appearances by Cristina Radu, a celebrated bossa nova and jazz vocalist, and Sorin Spasinovici, a distinguished Romanian violist acclaimed for both classical performance and improvisation.
An evening where Brazilian and Romanian cultures meet in rhythm, harmony, and emotion: Uma festa do Brasil.
